VND15 billion needed for Ben Tre's tourist infrastructural development

The People's Committee of Ben Tre province has submitted a document to Ministries of Planning and Investment (MPI) and Finance, and the Vietnamese Bureau of Tourism (BTV) to propose its plans for tourism development in 2006, and ask for financial support with a planned sum of VND15 billion. The statement is said to be part of the province's efforts to deploy and complete the province's projects to develop its tourist infrastructure to effectively exploit its huge tourist potentials.

Among the projects, about VND4 billion is earmarked for tourist infrastructure in Con Phung Tourist Resort in Chau Thanh District, VND3 billion for the Hung Phong-Con Oc Resort in Giong Trom District, and another VND5 billion would be invested in infrastructural construction for the eco-tourist resort of Vam Ho in Ba Tri District.
