New investment preferential policy for the An Hiep Industrial zone

In an effort
to encourage and to push forward investment attraction, Ben Tre province's
People's Committee has issued the Decision No 1672/2006/QD-UBND, detailing
incentives for investments into the An Hiep Industrial Zone. The new detailed
incentives include tax, land lease, infrastructural services rates and other
auxiliary services. Unlike the Giao Long Industrial Park, investors would have
more choice and they are also faced with more specific opportunities to choose.
Investors, for example, can choose to lease land with finished infrastructure,
or to lease raw land to deploy their own project. As with exemption and
deduction of corporate income tax, investors would enjoy the framework of tax
break set by the Law of Corporate Income Tax. Besides, investors would also be
assisted with workers training cost if they employ local labour force.
Infrastructure utility and waste water treatment costs are also lower than those
applied in the Giao Long IP.

The An Hiep IZ is also very convenient in
terms of waterway transportation, and so is the reason for many investors
applying for land lease in this industrial zone. The formalities procedure would
go through one door: Ben Tre Industrial Parks Authority (Ben Tre
IPA).
