Korean Ngo supports 25 houses for poor people in Chau Thanh district

HOSANNA, a South Korea-based non-government organization (NGO), on February 21, 2006, announced their aids to build 25 houses for poor people in Chau Thanh District, through recommendations by the Province's Communist Youth Union and the Ben Tre Investment Promotion Centre (IPC). Of the donated houses, 10 are in Tan Thach Commune, 2 in Phu An Hoa Commune and 13 in Tuong Da Commune, each worth about VND10 million. HOSANNA has so far carried out substantial aids in various fields such as children education, health care, and clean water supply for poor people in Ben Tre. In the past two years (2004-2005), the organization donated 157 houses to Ben Tre. "This organization will continue with their aids programmes in housing and scholarship for poor people and many community development projects in the Homeland of Dong Khoi", said Mr Phan Van Mai, Secretary of the Province's Communist Youth Union.
