For the first time, Ben Tre exports seedlings to Cambodian market

For the first time ever, Ben Tre's farmers export to Cambodia a fairly large quantity of seedlings including mango, longan and durian.

Recently, Ben Tre's authorities have been invited to Cambodia to discuss a cooperative program which may promise even larger exportation of seedlings to the country.

Before that, a group of Cambodian scientists and technicians were sent to Ben Tre province to visit and study the seedlings business at seedlings gardens in Cho Lach District. They at the same time sought to set up a business tie with Ben Tre for a long-term supplying source. The move was praised as very positive to the future of Ben Tre's seedlings business.

For the time being, Ben Tre's gardens are selling out totally 25 million seedlings mainly to markets in the Mekong Delta, the South-Eastern provinces, the Central Parts and several Northern provinces.
