A training session of aquatic collective management with FSPS II help

Ben Tre Aquatic Production Department has cooperated with the Management board of the FSPS II project to hold a training session of propaganda for collective management of aquatic product. The session, held in Binh Dai District, BenTreProvince, drew a group of 30 farmers from Phu Long, Binh Thoi and Dai Hoa Loc Communes of the District.

At the session, farmers were instructed with knowledge on how to propagandize the method of collective management of aquatic activities from aquaculture, exploitation and processing to supply services and output consumption. This is seen as a new approach of management with the participation of local governments, the residential community, related authorities, public organizations, non-government organizations, researchers and the sponsors.

This new form of management is aimed to resolve the problem of exhaustion of aquatic resources, then to improve the general environment, increase incomes, create more jobs for local labors, which will contribute to social stabilization and local infrastructural development.
