Ho Chi Minh City Television to donate "Dream Houses" to poor people in Ben Tre


In an effort to help poor people who are faced with the housing problem, the Ho Chi Minh City Television (HTV) has made a television programme called "Dream House". In Ben Tre, the HTV has filmed the programme in real life for later broad on the HTV7 channel. Altogether, 6 dream houses have been built in Ben Tre, allocated in BenTreTownship (2 households), Mo Cay Disrtict (1), and Chau Thanh District (3). Each of the dream houses has usable space area of 32 sqm, concretized walls, tin roofings, and tiled floorings. All of them cost totally VND240 million. The houses are donated by the Pomina Steel Co., Ltd. The dream houses are planned to be donated to selected households in above districts on April 20, 2008.

The broadcasting programme "Dream House" (Ngoi Nha Mo Uoc in Vietnamese) is built by the HTV and sponsored solely by the Pomina Steel Co., Ltd. Since its start in 2006, the programme has donated altogether 125 dream houses to poor people in various provinces and cities across Viet Nam., costing totally VND3 billion.
