A new agro-food factory to be built in the Giao Long IP

Two foreign companies, the Hong Kong-based Lucky Force International Limited, and the Thai Agri-Food Public Limited have studied investment environment in Ben Tre lately. Now they have both decided on an investment project in the Giao Long Industrial Park. Both companies have applied for the establishment of the Viet World Limited company to build an agro-food factory. Their factory would process agro-products from coconut (coconut milk, coco-juice, ..), frozen food and aquatic products. The initial investment capital for the project is said to be about US$5.5 million. The joint-venture would lease about 3.7 hectares of space area in the Giao Long IP to set up the factory. The factory construction is planned to be kicked start in July, 2008, after all administrative procedures (investment licence, construction permit). The construction would run in 8 months, then the factory would go into operation, according to a representative from Viet World.
