A contest to design logo and packaging for Ben Tre's green-skin pomelo

In an effort to select the best designs of logo and packaging for the green-skin pomelo, Ben Tre’s specialty fruit, the province’s Department of Science and Technology is in collaboration with related departments and organizations holding a province-wide contest to select the best designs of logo and packaging to represent the Ben Tre trademark for the commercial products of green-skin pomelo. 

The requirements say that the contesting logo design must depict the very characteristics of the Ben Tre’s green-skin pomelo products, indecate the trend of international economic integration, and the developing potential of the green-skin pomelo. The logo has to be in simple but impressive design and must not have more than three colors. 

The packaging design is required to depict the special traits of the green-skin pomelo, bear the consistency of the particular style of Ben Tre’s green-skin pomelo, have the impression and attraction of the products and must make sure to be a good industrial design for future mass production. 

Every domestic as well as foreign individuals and organizations that are working and operating in Ben Tre can take part in the contest, which is running from April 1 to June 30, 2009. The prizes for the contest include one first prize for the logo and one first prize for packaging design, each worth VND10 million. Besides, there are 4 contestors’ awards equally for the logo and packaging design, each worth VND2.5 million.
