Binh Dai pushes on the movement of rural roads construction
In the past years, thanks to funding sources from the Central Government as well as provincial and district budgets, Binh Dai District was moving forward well with rural road development. The district has successfully finished a lot of road projects, producing good results to satisfy people’s travelling and goods transportation, thus contributing to the district economic development.

At the the time being, the district’s road system under local authority control includes 8 district road with a total length of 63 kilometers, plus another 159 kilometers of communal and village roads, not to mention the two provincial roads 883 and 886.
Building roads, developing road system is one of Binh Dai district’s goals in carrying out the 5-year socio-economic development plan between 2011 and 2015 with a look forward to 2020.
For the past year, rural road construction in Binh Dai district has gradually taken shape, with the specific focus on projects that have excellently served locals’ travelling between villages.
A total budget of 45 billion and 198 million Vietnamese dongs from provincial and local budget fundings, has been invested in rural roads, intown alleys, 13.12 kilometers of asphalt roads from the Cay Trom crossroads to the Thanh Tri crossroads, from the Thanh Tri crossroads to the Ba Lai floodgate, from the Ben Dinh crossroads to the sea-bank in Binh Thoi Commune, from the Vang quoi Dong crossroads to the river of Cua Dai và the road leading to the Thu ferry in Thanh Phuoc Commune. What is more, 1.49 kilometers of roads in Dinh Trung Commune have also been upgrade by elevating the roadway surface.
Besides, 3 more rural bridges have also been built in Phu Long and Dinh Trung communes, namely the Ao Vuong, Ca Ngang and Ca Nho bridges. In addition to the provincial and district budget sources, communes and local people have voluntarily contributed efforts to making 516 meters of asphalt road, 46,758 meters of concrete road and 3,395 meters of other kinds of road as well as 14 bridges in the district’s 18 communes and town. The toal budget fund for those projects was counted at 8 billion Vietnamese dongs, out of which was the 2 billion dongs contributed by local people.
A year after the deployment of a new form of rural road works, in which local people are directly involve in the road project assisted by the district government, many results are brought about with 37 projects of concrete and asphalt road and a total cost of 2.85 billion Vietnamese dongs. The projects are located in Long Hoa, Long Dinh, Thoi Lai, Vang Quoi Tay, Vang Quoi Dong, Phu Long, Binh Thoi, Binh Thang, Đai Hoa Loc and Binh Dai Town. These small projects partly indicates a great consensus among the people in building rural roads.
