The Temple of Nguyen Thi Dinh

The Temple of Nguyen Thi Dinh was built in her home village in Phong Dien Hamlet, Luong Hoa Commune, Giong Trom District, Ben Tre Province, on an area of 353 sqm, finely designed with Orient architectural features intermingled with modern style.

The Temple is one of the structures of the Memorial Complex, 1.5 hectares in area. The total budget for the Temple is 3.5 billion Vietnamese dong, of which 1.3 billion Vietnamese dong is contributed by the people, the rest is granted by the Provincial Government.

The Temple is not only a commemoration to General Nguyen Thi Dinh (she was the Viet Nam's only female general), but a place to educate local people of the Province's revolutionary traditions.

On the way to visit Nguyen Dinh Chieu's Memorial Complex, visit Phan Thanh Gian Tomb and educator Vo Truong Toan in Ba Tri, going through Luong Hoa Commune, tourists should stop by the Temple of Nguyen Thi Dinh and pay visit to commemorate the Viet Nam's only female general and one of the most celebrated revolutionary leaders who devoted all her life to fight for the freedom, independence and happiness of the people of Ben Tre Province.
