International experts delegation study shrimp culturing in Ben Tre

On the occasion of the Global Shrimp Growing Conference held lately in Ho Chi Minh City , a group of experts from many different countries came to Ben Tre to study shrimp culturing here.

The major aspect that interested most experts was water environment and the chloramphenicol surplus in water, because it may directly affect consumer health, destroy the environment and may cause an unsustainable business.

After visiting several extensive and industrial culturing farms, the expert group praised Ben Tre for its potentials and good culturing process. Many farms even applied the clean shrimp technical process in accordance with the Vietnamese Ministry of Aquaculture's GAP and the ACC's BAP criteria. This now needs to multiply

The experts said, to further develop the sustainable shrimp culturing, Ben Tre needed to do more to ensure monitoring and ovecome setbacks such as spontaneous growing by small households.
