Apart from national and international holidays, Ben Tre has some local festivals. Briefly, there are three most interested festivals, namely the Nghinh Ong Festival, the Nguyen Dinh Chieu Memorial Day and the Dong Khoi Anniversary, each has its own social and historical significance to the public life in Ben Tre.

The common dishes here are those popular among farmers as well as urbaners. As the general socio-economic life has grown to a higher level, there would certainly be extended exchanges on various areas of life, and thus the differential line between urban and rural living standards have also been blurred.
