Ben Tre Province to invest VND1 billion in this year's industrial promotion activities

In 2007, Ben
Tre Province is going on to invest more than VND1 billion in assisting small and
medium enterprises (SME) to upgrade their production capacity and product and
services quality, according to the province's Center for Industrial Promotion
(CIP). Of the said investment amount, VND255 million is injected from the
National Industrial Promotion Programme (NIPP).

First ever industrial complex in ba tri district

Ba Tri District has just approved a project to build its first ever industrial complex. The 20-hectare project is located partly in the Ba Tri Town and partly in An Duc Commune, where there is the Tomb and Memorial Complex dedicated to the well-known patriotic poet Nguyen Dinh Chieu. It is planned with a total investment bugdet of VND 32 billion.

Ben Tre to grow 500 ha of aromatic coconut to serve for tourism

According to planning, Ben Tre is underway to carry out its grand project to grow 5,000 hectares of coconut as raw materials for industrial production from now to 2010. In addition, the province is also to grow 500 hectares of aromatic coconut to serve as tourist speciality.

Three companies gone into operation in the Giao Long IP

Three out of six investing companies
(with total investment cap of US$24 million) in the
Giao Long Industrial Park have just gone into
operation. They are named as the Yung Nam Garment Joint-Stock Company, the
textile-maker Dan Duy Viet Nam Limited Company, and the desiccated coconut-meat
producer Dinh Phu My Limited Company.

Detailed planning for Phase II of the Giao Long IP

Committee of Ben Tre Province has issued a decision on designating the
Consulting, Investing and Developing Joint-stock Company (THIKECO) to make the
detailed planning for phase II of the Giao Long Industrial Park. The planning
management is assigned to the Ben Tre Industrial Park Infrastructural
Development Company.
